Austin ISD Early College High School student athletes will have new ways to stay cool and hydrated after the Austin Ed Fund and YETI partnered to donate coolers to school athletic programs.
YETI representatives, Superintendent Matias Segura and Austin Ed Fund representatives presented the coolers at the LBJ and Travis ECHS basketball game Tuesday.
What they鈥檙e saying: 鈥淲e鈥檙e thankful for the Austin Ed Fund,鈥 Segura said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e grateful for local partners like YETI that recognize our students鈥 hard work every day and help provide some top-of-the-line equipment to support them.鈥
After the extreme heat over the 2023 summer, Austin Ed Fund teamed up with generous support from YETI to purchase and donate two coolers to each ECHS athletic department.
鈥淲e鈥檙e a part of the community of Austin, so to be able to give back to the community that our children attend the schools for is just a pleasure and an honor and we鈥檙e happy to do it,鈥 said April Stevens, YETI vice president of U.S. sales.
